Chubu Shiryo fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Chubu Shiryo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥19.84 per share, a decline of 20.6% from ¥24.97 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥522.9 million, a decrease of 20.3% from ¥655.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 1.3% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell year over year to ¥40.23 billion from ¥40.74 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥39.44 billion, compared with ¥39.74 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income decreased 25.2% on an annual basis to ¥551.0 million, or ¥20.91 per share, from ¥737.0 million, or ¥28.07 per share.

As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.28.
