Fla. regulator seeks larger workers' comp rate decrease for 2020

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation disapproved the National Council on Compensation Insurance's proposal for a 5.4% statewide rate decrease in workers' comp rates for 2020.

The regulator asked the NCCI to submit an amended rate filing reflecting a decrease of 7.5% by Nov. 4.

If approved, the revised rate decrease will take effect Jan. 1, 2020.
