UK's Asos names former ITV chief Adam Crozier as chairman

Asos PLC, the U.K. online fashion retailer, announced July 3 that it had appointed City veteran Adam Crozier as chairman and nonexecutive director.

Crozier will replace Brian McBride, who has served as chairman for six years. The handover will take place Nov. 29 following the company's next annual general meeting.

Crozier is a director and chairman of hospitality group Whitbread PLC, cinema chain Vue Entertainment and theater business Stage Entertainment. He has previously held boardroom roles at broadcaster ITV PLC, Royal Mail PLC and the Football Association, among others.

In March, Asos CFO Helen Ashton announced that she would retire April 30. She will remain with Asos until Aug. 31 to ensure an orderly transition.
