PG&E Corp., utility appoint new board directors

The boards of directors of PG&E Corp. and Pacific Gas and Electric Co. on Oct. 11 elected William Smith and John Woolard as directors, effective immediately.

With the additions, PG&E Corp.'s board increased to 15 from 13 and the utility's board increased to 16 from 14.

The new directors have not been assigned to any committees, according to an Oct. 15 filing.

Woolard is the CEO of Meridian Energy. Smith retired after serving as president of AT&T Technology Operations at AT&T Services Inc.
