Golden Minerals Co. estimated a new resource for the Yaxtché deposit at its 57,000-hectare El Quevar silver project in Argentina's Salta province, and plans to complete a preliminary economic assessment in the next few months based on the new resource.
The NI 43-101-compliant resource contains sulfide resources of 2.6 million tonnes at 487 g/t of silver for 41.1 million contained ounces, and oxide resources of 300,000 tonnes at 434 g/t of silver for 4.2 million contained ounces, both in the indicated category.
Meanwhile, the sulfide resource in the inferred category stands at 310,000 tonnes at 417 g/t of silver for 4.1 million contained ounces.
The company said it is open to a funding partner for further exploration and development of the project, it said Feb. 28.
