Amazon India's fashion arm launches baby apparel portal

Amazon Fashion, a unit of Amazon.com Inc.'s Indian arm, launched its baby apparel portal, The Economic Times of India reported March 6.

The online store, which will feature items from brands including Mothercare Plc and Gap Inc.'s babyGap line, will offer clothing and accessories for boys and girls up to two years old at prices from 100 Indian rupees.

The product range also will qualify for Amazon's Prime subscription service.

As of March 5, US$1 was equivalent to 65.05 Indian rupees.
