PJSC Gazprom said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 9.45 Russian rubles per share, a decrease of 23.0% from 12.28 rubles per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 217.39 billion rubles, a decline of 23.0% from 282.39 billion rubles in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 17.2% from 21.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined on an annual basis to 1.265 trillion rubles from 1.315 trillion rubles, and total operating expenses climbed 5.0% from the prior-year period to 1.010 trillion rubles from 962.07 billion rubles.
Reported net income rose 29.1% year over year to 293.79 billion rubles, or 12.77 rubles per share, from 227.57 billion rubles, or 9.89 rubles per share.
As of Sept. 21, US$1 was equivalent to 66.22 Russian rubles.
