Es-con Japan Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to ¥2.25 per share, an increase of 41.0% from ¥1.59 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥153.8 million, an increase of 37.4% from ¥111.9 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 4.7% from 8.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased year over year to ¥3.29 billion from ¥1.35 billion, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to ¥2.81 billion from ¥979.0 million.
Reported net income rose on an annual basis to ¥588.0 million, or ¥8.59 per share, from ¥172.1 million, or ¥2.45 per share.
