Namchow Holdings profit beats consensus by 34.0% in Q2

Namchow Holdings Co. Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income was NT$1.33 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 99 cents per share.

EPS increased 14.4% year over year from NT$1.16.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$329.2 million, an increase of 14.4% from NT$287.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 7.9% from 7.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 8.9% year over year to NT$4.15 billion from NT$3.81 billion, and total operating expenses grew 6.7% on an annual basis to NT$3.55 billion from NT$3.33 billion.

Reported net income grew 11.3% on an annual basis to NT$342.5 million, or NT$1.38 per share, from NT$307.8 million, or NT$1.24 per share.

As of Aug. 19, US$1 was equivalent to NT$31.67.
