Hub Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, amounted to ¥4.83 per share, an increase from ¥1.99 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥54.4 million, a decline of 18.7% from ¥66.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 2.5% from 3.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 7.6% year over year to ¥2.18 billion from ¥2.03 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 9.2% year over year to ¥2.10 billion from ¥1.92 billion.
Reported net income declined 19.0% from the prior-year period to ¥51.0 million, or ¥4.53 per share, from ¥63.0 million, or ¥1.88 per share.
As of Jan. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.84.
