Osisko Metals Inc. said Oct. 7 that it completed staking 84 claims, covering a surface area totaling 24,340 hectares, increasing the company's mineral claim holdings for the Pine Point zinc project in the Northwest Territories of Canada to more than double to 46,553 hectares.
The staking initiative includes mineral rights in the areas adjacent to Osisko's existing mineral claims and leases in the central portion of the Pine Point mining camp.
Osisko is currently updating the 2018 inferred mineral resource estimate at Pine Point, with the new estimate expected by mid-November.
