Surge Exploration Inc. said Sept. 6 that it acquired an additional gold-copper mineral claim adjoining its Trapper Lake property in northern British Columbia.
The additional property is near Newmont Goldcorp Corp.'s Golden Bear mine and Brixton Metals Corp.'s Thorn silver project.
Surge said the acquisition will complement the company's 213-square-kilometer mineral claim staking program, Golden Triangle.
In April, the company said it will no longer pursue option agreements to secure a 70% interest in the Atacama Cobalto cobalt project in northern Chile and to acquire the Incahuasi lithium project in Chile.
