Para expands Ariz. gold project area by 3,347 acres

Para Resources Inc. expanded its Gold Road project area in Arizona by 3,347 acres after securing access to additional mineral claims and historical mines next to the site.

According to the company, many of these mines stopped production in 1942 due to the U.S. war effort and were never restarted.

The company acquired the Gold Road project in August.

The project includes a 500-tonne-per-day mill, and permitting is complete to increase its capacity to 1,000 t/d. Tailings capacity for about 1.8 million tons has been built.

A further 1.8 million tons of tailings capacity has been permitted but not constructed.
