Citigroup Inc.'s Citi Private Bank appointed Ed Riley head of equities for the Americas. Riley joined from Bank of America Corp.'s Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Macro Risk Advisors LLC hired John Kolovos as chief technical strategist, Mayank Seksaria as chief macro strategist and Vinay Viswanathan as derivatives strategist. Previously, Kolovos worked with Three-Five Global Analytics, Seksaria with Passport Capital Management, and Viswanathan with Spot Trading LLC.

Confirming an S&P Global Market Intelligence report, Lazard Ltd hired Dimitar Karaivanov as a managing director in its middle market's financial institutions group. Karaivanov joins from RBC Capital Markets LLC.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is looking to widen the scope of its depository coverage to help meet a goal of adding 1,000 new investment banking clients across a number of sectors.

Morgan Stanley Chairman and CEO James Gorman said he expects his company to move about 400 to 500 employees out of the U.K. because of Brexit. Morgan Stanley has about 5,000 employees in the country.

Perella Weinberg Partners LP appointed Cyrille Perard managing director in its advisory business. Perard joins from Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

Citigroup plans to reduce its technology and operations staff in the next five years as the banking major looks to replace human workforce with machines, the Financial Times reported, citing Jamie Forese, president of Citi and CEO of the bank's institutional clients group. Citi's 20,000 operational positions, which account for almost two-fifths of its investment bank employees, could potentially be cut to half, Forese warned.

Preet Singh joined Lincoln International LLC's Mumbai, India, office as a managing director in the global industrials group. Singh most recently worked with Avendus Capital Pvt Ltd.

A team of three advisers joined Raymond James Financial Inc.'s employee unit in Bay City, Mich., InvestmentNews reported. Craig Cooley, Lee Miller and Michael Wegener, operating as Water Street Wealth Management, joined Raymond James from Wells Fargo Advisors. Additionally, Wells broker Tim Godin along with sales associate Morag Rourke and assistant Dylan McEvilly joined Raymond James.

Lazard Ltd. named Mark Sooby and Harris Ghozali managing directors of financial advisory in Houston, effective July 2. The pair will advise companies operating in the global oil and gas sector, including on acquisitions and divestitures. Both Sooby and Ghozali earlier worked with Deutsche Bank AG.

The head of Royal Bank of Canada's U.S. operations was fired for failing to disclose a workplace relationship, the Financial Times reported. Blair Fleming was president and CEO of RBC USA Holdco Corp., and he oversaw investment banking and capital markets in the U.S. Fleming will be replaced by Jim Wolfe, currently head of leveraged finance, and Matthew Stompnik, co-head of financial sponsors. Further, Derek Neldner was promoted to head of global investment banking.

Paul Matteis joined Stifel Financial Corp. as managing director and senior analyst covering the biotechnology sector. Matteis most recently worked with Leerink Partners LLC.
