Hokkaido Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to a loss of ¥2.65 per share, compared with a loss of ¥4.86 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥96.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥177.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to negative 0.8% from negative 1.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew year over year to ¥12.45 billion from ¥12.10 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to ¥12.63 billion from ¥12.40 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥348.0 million, or a loss of ¥9.53 per share, compared to a loss of ¥369.0 million, or a loss of ¥10.10 per share, in the year-earlier period.
