Alexandria Real Estate buys Seattle office building from Blackstone for $95M

Urban office real estate investment trust Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. acquired the six-story 5th & Bell office building in Seattle from private equity giant Blackstone Group LP for $95 million, the Puget Sound Business Journal reported, citing public records.

Blackstone had purchased the approximately 200,000-square-foot asset in 2016 for $92.9 million, according to the publication.

E-commerce and cloud computing company Amazon.com Inc. occupies roughly 186,750 square feet in the property through a lease that expires in January 2025, the report added, citing commercial real estate company Kidder Mathews.
