Women's Next Loungeries fiscal H1 profit climbs 62.2% YOY

Women's Next Loungeries Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was 3.18 Indian rupees per share, a decline from 3.27 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.0 million rupees, a gain of 62.2% from 4.9 million rupees in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew 14.3% on an annual basis to 221.7 million rupees from 193.9 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased 13.6% year over year to 205.0 million rupees from 180.5 million rupees.

Reported net income increased 69.1% on an annual basis to 8.2 million rupees, or 3.26 rupees per share, from 4.8 million rupees, or 3.22 rupees per share.

As of Nov. 24, US$1 was equivalent to 61.84 Indian rupees.
