Sotoh fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Sotoh Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥3.30 per share, a decline of 86.3% from ¥24.14 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥42.0 million, a decline of 86.3% from ¥307.3 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 1.5% from 12.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 9.5% year over year to ¥2.77 billion from ¥2.53 billion, and total operating expenses rose 12.0% from the prior-year period to ¥2.73 billion from ¥2.44 billion.

Reported net income fell 87.6% year over year to ¥42.0 million, or ¥3.30 per share, from ¥338.0 million, or ¥26.56 per share.
