Standard Solar developing 9.8-MW solar project in New Mexico

Standard Solar is developing and financing a 9.8-MW solar project that will provide power to the city of Gallup, N.M. The company will also own and operate the facility.

The solar facility is being financed through a power purchase agreement, according to a Feb. 6 news release.

The project, developed by Mangan Renewables in partnership with Wiser Capital, is being constructed on approximately 31 acres of city-owned land. Completion is expected in the first quarter.
