Twitter strikes content partnership with Corus Entertainment

Twitter Inc. is partnering with Canada's Corus Entertainment Inc. on several short-form series targeting a millennial audience.

The new content produced for Twitter by So.da, Corus' in-house social content studio, is centered on some of the most-consumed content on social media, such as entertainment, lifestyle and food, according to a May 31 statement.

Two additional concepts that are near to production are "#OneDirtyDish," which features Food Network Canada's celebrity chefs creating weeknight meals using ingredients chosen by Twitter users via polls, and "#TrendingTonight," where stars of Entertainment Tonight Canada host a biweekly roundup of trending entertainment news.

"#ThisisViral" is another short-form concept currently in the development stage. It is a daily live and interactive series tackling top Twitter trending stories.

Additional details on the new short-form content will be announced at a later date.
