2 directors of Steinhoff's Pep&Co to quit

Managing Director Adrian Mountford and Trading Director Cathy Haydon of Pep&Co, a unit of embattled retailer Steinhoff International Holdings NV, will resign from their roles over the coming months, Retail Gazette reported Feb. 1, citing Pep&Co COO Sean Cardinaal.

Mountford and Haydon reportedly will leave the company after the launch of 150 store-in-store openings in Poundland Ltd. stores across the U.K.

Mountford, who has been at the discount fashion retail chain since 2014, also held roles at Matalan Ltd., J Sainsbury Plc and BHS, while Haydon was previously with Marks and Spencer Group plc, Tesco Corp.'s clothing unit, and BHS, according to the report.

The news came a day after Steinhoff disclosed that it reported former CEO Markus Jooste to South African authorities on suspicion of committing criminal offenses. Jooste resigned from the company Dec. 5, 2017.
