Ahold Delhaize repurchases €70.4M worth of shares

Dutch food retailer Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said Sept. 4 that it bought back 3,355,808 more of its common shares from Aug. 27 to Aug. 31 as part of its €2 billion share repurchase program announced in November 2017.

The shares were repurchased at an average price of €20.98 apiece for a total consideration of €70.4 million.

The buyback follows the 1,852,714 common shares repurchased by the company from Aug. 20 to Aug. 24 for a total consideration of €39.2 million.

Under the program, Ahold Delhaize has bought back a total of 74,586,824 of its common stock to date for a total consideration of €1.46 billion.
