Southwest Securities International Securities Ltd. expects its net loss for the half ended June 30 to widen year over year.
The company said it forecasts a "significant" year-over-year increase in its consolidated net loss for the first half ended June 30, as compared to a net loss of HK$53.8 million in the prior-year period.
The company attributed the expected increase in its first-half net loss to a loss in its proprietary trading result and an increase in finance costs for the period due to a bond issue in May.
Southwest Securities International said it expects to report its first-half results on or around Aug. 24.
