Report: Deutsche Bank's global co-head of institutional client group departs

Kenan Altunis, global co-head of Deutsche Bank AG's institutional client group, left the German lender to pursue other opportunities, Bloomberg News reported June 11, citing an internal memo.

His exit comes amid a restructuring under new sole investment banking head Garth Ritchie, which saw Altunis lose his seat on the division's executive committee in May. Stefan Hoops, Altunis' former co-head, has stayed with the bank, Bloomberg said.

Altunis' departure is the latest in a series of high-profile exits from the German lender since Christian Sewing replaced John Cryan as CEO in April.
