Hewlett Packard Enterprise fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended July 31 came to $554.4 million, a fall from $566.3 million in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to 4.2% from 4.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined year over year to $13.06 billion from $13.70 billion, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to $12.17 billion from $12.78 billion.

Reported net income totaled $224.0 million, compared with $266.0 million in the year-earlier period.
