SC Conted Q3 profit climbs 49.9% YOY

S.C. Conted SA said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to 90 Romanian bani per share, a gain of 49.9% from 60 bani per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 215,780 lei, a gain of 49.9% from 143,970 lei in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 4.6% from 3.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 9.3% on an annual basis to 4.7 million lei from 4.3 million lei, and total operating expenses rose 7.3% on an annual basis to 4.3 million lei from 4.0 million lei.

Reported net income grew 49.5% from the prior-year period to 285,950 lei, or 1.19 lei per share, from 191,250 lei, or 80 bani per share.

As of Nov. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 4.21 Romanian lei.
