Community Health Systems selling 2 hospitals in Florida

Community Health Systems Inc. signed definitive deals to sell two Florida hospitals to Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System Sunbelt Healthcare Corp.

The sale includes the Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport and Lake Wales Medical Center in Lake Wales.

The parties did not release the terms of the deal, which is expected to close late in the third quarter.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems noted the sale of the hospitals was part of the planned divestitures noted in the company's first-quarter 2019 earnings call.

Community Health Systems completed the sale of four hospitals in South Carolina in March.
