Scotiabank files C$15B shelf

Toronto-based Bank of Nova Scotia filed a short-form base shelf prospectus for the sale of up to C$15 billion of its securities from time to time.

The filing covers the sale of senior debt securities, subordinated debt securities, preferred shares and common shares.

Net proceeds from the sale of the securities will be used for general banking purposes.
