ASX appoints nonexecutive director

ASX Ltd. on Dec. 24 said it appointed Robert Woods a nonexecutive director, with effect from Jan. 1, 2020.

Woods will stand for election at the stock exchange operator's annual general meeting Sept. 30, 2020. He was formerly the CEO of strategy at Challenger Ltd., and previously served as CEO of Challenger's funds management and asset management businesses.

Stephen Knight will replace Woods as chairman of ASX Clear Pty Ltd. and ASX Settlement Pty Ltd., the company said.

Further, Carolyn Colley was appointed a nonexecutive director of ASX's subsidiary clearing and settlement boards, the company said. Colley previously held senior executive roles at Macquarie Bank Ltd., St George Bank and BT Financial Group.
