Deltamac(Taiwan) Co.Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to a loss of NT$521,250, compared with income of NT$1.6 million in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 0.3% from 0.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 5.2% year over year to NT$187.4 million from NT$197.8 million, and total operating expenses came to NT$195.7 million, compared with NT$194.4 million in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income totaled a loss of NT$3.2 million, or a loss of 4 cents per share, compared to income of NT$238,000, or 0 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
