HSBC Holdings PLC appointed Shade Sharaka to its syndicate desk for sovereign, supranational and agency debt, Thomson Reuters' IFR reported, citing market sources.
Based in London, Sharaka will join the British banking group from BNP Paribas SA, according to the May 29 report.
Following the departure of PJ Bye as HSBC's global head of public sector syndicate in December 2017, the bank merged its financial institutions group and SSA syndicate desks for Europe, the Middle East and Africa under co-heads Asif Sherani and Mark Pearce, Reuters reported, adding that Sharaka will work with Sherani.
