Report: Export-Import Bank of India issues US$1B of notes

Export-Import Bank of India issued US$1 billion of notes under its US$3 billion medium-term note program, the Press Trust of India reported Jan. 7, citing a merchant banking source.

The bank opened the five-year U.S. dollar bond sale program in the key international markets in the morning of Jan. 6.

The Indian lender confirmed that it is in the market but did not disclose specific details about the issuance, the report noted.
