Dennis Woodside stepped down as COO of Dropbox Inc. after serving in the role for four years.
Woodside will remain at the company until early September and will serve as an adviser through year-end, the San Francisco-based file-sharing and cloud-storage company said Aug. 9, adding that it does not plan to fill the vacant COO position.
The company has restructured the management team to take on Woodside's responsibilities and has promoted Yamini Rangan to chief customer officer of the company, reporting to CEO Drew Houston. Vice President of Communications Lin-Hua Wu also will report directly to Houston.
Rangan, who joined Dropbox in 2016, most recently served as vice president of business strategy and operations. Wu joined Dropbox in 2016 and oversees external and internal communications and analyst relations.
