U.S. hotels posted positive performance for the week ended June 2, according to STR data.
Year over year, revenue per available room rose 2.3% to $78.61, and average daily rate ticked up 2.1% to end the week at $122.58. Occupancy climbed 0.1%, to 64.1%.
Philadelphia-New Jersey logged the biggest RevPAR increase of the top 25 U.S. markets at 26.0% to $106.85 and the largest rise in ADR, increasing 12.1% to $144.96. The market also posted the largest boost in occupancy, with the metric rising 12.4%, to 73.7%.
Denver saw RevPAR fall 11.2% to $88.02, the largest decrease, and recorded the biggest ADR decrease, losing 3.8% to $122.81.
On the occupancy front, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla., reported the sharpest decline, falling 8.0%, to 59.4%.
