Ulta Beauty Inc. has asked an Illinois federal court judge to dismiss a lawsuit that claims Ulta store workers repackage and resell returned and used cosmetics, Women's Wear Daily reported March 21.
In court documents, filed with the Illinois federal court on March 20, Ulta denied all allegations and said that the company has no policy of reselling used products. The suit was originally filed in February, according to the report.
Ulta did not immediately respond to S&P Global Market Intelligence's request for comment.
The lawsuit is one of two class-action lawsuits accusing the cosmetics retailer of reselling used products.
