Nuclear update: U.S. output eases with Pilgrim curtailment

Total U.S. nuclear plant availability ticked lower early Dec. 15 to 94.23%, down from 94.63% on Dec. 14, but was still above the 91.44% reported on the same day in 2015.

Pulling down total production was a cutback at Entergy Corp.'s Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Massachusetts. The plant saw output fall from 100% power on Dec. 14 to 25% early Dec. 15.

Conversely, production at unit 1 of Entergy's Arkansas Nuclear One in Arkansas increased from 12% on Dec. 14 to 25% early Dec. 15.
