Two adviser teams managing a combined $780 million in client assets at Wells Fargo Clearing Services LLC have left to join Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc., the (New York) InvestmentNews reported. Baird also hired another adviser team based in its Edina, Minn., office from Morgan Stanley.
Gregory Lewis and Igor Levi joined BTIG LLC to provide energy and shipping equity research coverage. Lewis joined from Credit Suisse and Levi from Morgan Stanley.
Piper Jaffray Cos. named David Warnke a managing director in equity sales and trading. Warnke joined from Cowen & Co. LLC.
A father-and-son team has joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC's New Haven, Conn., branch office from Bank of America Corp.'s Merrill Lynch.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. appointed Max Ritter head of its Latin America merger advisory business, Bloomberg News reported. Ritter most recently worked with Morgan Stanley.
JMP Securities LLC named Ezequiel Navar managing director for its investment banking division. Navar earlier worked at H2C Securities Inc.
Jacob Morton, a veteran sales trader in the sell-side community, has joined Mendon Capital Advisors Corp as the firm continues to expand. Morton comes to Mendon Capital from Piper Jaffray Cos., where he served as a sales trader in the firm's financial services group.
Four advisers formerly affiliated with Summit Financial Resources Inc. switched their affiliations to independent adviser platform Kestra Financial Inc.

Mizuho Americas LLC added oil and gas analyst Paul Sankey to its energy research team. Sankey previously worked with Wolfe Research LLC.

Mesirow Financial Inc. expanded its investment banking coverage into the technology sector with the addition of managing director Shane McDaniel. McDaniel earlier worked with Raymond James.

BTIG LLC added Brendan Daly as a director within its foreign exchange trading division. Daly served as a director at Newedge prior to his appointment.
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. named Jonathan Lindenberg as head of investment banking for the Americas, effective May 15. Lindenberg earlier was deputy head of investment banking and head of structured finance for the company. Lindenberg succeeds Fumitaka Nakahama in the role. Also, effective June 8, Shinichi Sato will be deputy head of investment banking for the Americas. Sato is currently deputy general manager of the company's investment banking credit division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Imperial Capital LLC hired David Fowkes as a managing director in its investment banking group. He was previously with Seabury Consulting's restructuring and corporate finance advisory practice.
Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc. appointed Robert Crowell as a managing director to lead healthcare services coverage in the Americas. Crowell joined from UBS.
