NextEra Energy Capital sells $1B of debentures

NextEra Energy Capital Holdings Inc. on Oct. 3 sold $1 billion of its 2.75% debentures, series due Nov. 1, 2029. The debentures are guaranteed by parent company NextEra Energy Inc.

Interest on the debentures is payable in arrears every May 1 and Nov. 1, starting May 1, 2020.

NextEra Capital will add the net proceeds from the sale of the securities to its general funds.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., Barclays Capital Inc., KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., Regions Securities LLC, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are the joint book-running managers for the transaction.

Academy Securities Inc., Loop Capital Markets LLC, Samuel A. Ramirez & Company Inc., Santander Investment Securities Inc., SG Americas Securities LLC, Synovus Securities Inc. and WR Securities LLC are the co-managers. C.L. King & Associates Inc. and Siebert Cisneros Shank & Co. LLC are the junior co-managers.
