Wells Fargo names head of tech

Wells Fargo & Co. has hired Saul Van Beurden as head of technology in charge of the technology and information security teams.

Van Beurden, who has 25 years of financial services experience, was most recently JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s chief information officer of consumer and community banking.

He will join Wells Fargo in April and will be based in New York City. He will report directly to CEO and President Timothy Sloan and will join the operating committee as an executive officer.
