Ariake Japan Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to ¥38.60 per share, a gain of 49.6% from ¥25.81 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.23 billion, an increase of 49.6% from ¥821.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 11.1% from 8.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 14.7% on an annual basis to ¥11.09 billion from ¥9.67 billion, and total operating expenses increased 11.3% from the prior-year period to ¥9.54 billion from ¥8.57 billion.
Reported net income rose 61.3% on an annual basis to ¥1.08 billion, or ¥33.81 per share, from ¥667.0 million, or ¥20.96 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥150.37 per share, an increase of 16.5% from ¥129.11 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥4.79 billion, a rise of 16.5% from ¥4.11 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 10.0% year over year to ¥40.91 billion from ¥37.20 billion, and total operating expenses grew 9.8% on an annual basis to ¥34.66 billion from ¥31.56 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 11.1% on an annual basis to ¥4.72 billion, or ¥148.46 per share, in the full year, from ¥4.25 billion, or ¥133.60 per share.
