Kriti Nutrients Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 was 17 Indian paise per share, an increase from 3 paise per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.5 million rupees, an increase from 1.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 1.0% from 0.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 7.3% year over year to 815.2 million rupees from 759.9 million rupees, and total operating expenses climbed 5.9% year over year to 790.1 million rupees from 745.8 million rupees.
Reported net income grew year over year to 9.1 million rupees, or 18 paise per share, from 1.5 million rupees, or 3 paise per share.
As of Aug. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 61.07 Indian rupees.
