Empire Metals to spin off lithium, precious metals projects in Canada

Empire Metals Corp. is spinning off certain of its assets in Canada, including the Fox Creek lithium project in Alberta as well as the Buck Lake platinum-palladium project and gold properties in Ontario.

The company said March 13 that the move will allow these projects to be valued on a stand-alone basis, helping to unlock and maximize their value.

Empire seeks to announce the terms of the planned arrangement shortly.

The company said it is also considering other potential acquisitions.

Empire's asset base is focused on the emerging green energy sector.
