Apiary Capital supports management buyout of UK's Bertram Nursery

The U.K.'s Bertram Nursery Group was acquired by its management team in a transaction funded by London-based private equity firm Apiary Capital and Santander.

The company has 36 nurseries across northwest England and Scotland and employs roughly 800 staff.

The management team is led by managing director Cary Rankin. Stuart Sheehy and Malcolm Hughes will be joining as finance director and chairman, respectively, according to a release.

Rockpool Investments LLP, which provided growth capital to the company in December 2014, is now exiting its investment as part of the deal.
