Bass Metals Ltd. said its Graphmada graphite mine in Madagascar reached nameplate production.
The process plant reached a feed rate of 25 tonnes per hour at an average head grade of 4.5% total graphitic carbon, achieving a run rate of 500 tonnes per month. The concentrates produced are mostly at or above 94% fixed carbon.
Bass Metals is negotiating the sale of product with international groups, including off-take partner Possehl Erzkontor GmbH & Co. KG, with which the company signed an agreement for 50% of its forecast first-stage flake graphite concentrate production from the project.
In early April, the company finished recommissioning the refurbished process plant at Graphmada.
