Exotic Food PCL Q1 profit climbs 58.5% YOY

Exotic Food Public Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 4 satang per share, an increase of 26.8% from 3 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 13.9 million baht, an increase of 58.5% from 8.8 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 8.0% from 4.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined year over year to 175.0 million baht from 179.5 million baht, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to 159.6 million baht from 156.7 million baht.

Reported net income rose 58.5% year over year to 22.2 million baht, or 6 satang per share, from 14.0 million baht, or 5 satang per share.
