DTE Energy gains approval to purchase 161.3-MW Mich. wind facility

DTE Electric Co. received the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's approval to acquire the 161.3-MW Pine River Wind Park in Gratiot and Isabella counties, Mich., from Invenergy Renewables LLC.

The Pine River project will be linked to the transmission system owned by Michigan Electric Transmission Co. LLC under the control of the Midcontinent ISO.

DTE Electric is a utility subsidiary of DTE Energy Co. and is the project contractor. Invenergy Renewable is a subsidiary of Invenergy LLC and is the project developer. (FERC docket EC18-140)
