CommonBond Inc. has secured $50 million in series D funding led by Fifth Third Capital Holdings, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fifth Third Bancorp.
The funding round also included the participation of First Republic Bank and Columbia Seligman Investments, in addition to existing investors including Neuberger Berman, August Capital, and Nyca Partners. Individual investors in CommonBond include Vikram Pandit, former CEO of Citigroup Inc., and Tom Glocer, former CEO of Thomson Reuters Corp.
CommonBond plans to use the funding to accelerate its growth and invest further in technology.
The company has now raised over $130 million in equity financing.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch acted as the exclusive adviser to CommonBond on the transaction.
