Empire National Bank has appointed Robert Kiraly senior vice president and chief risk officer, Long Island Business News of Ronkonkoma, N.Y., reported July 5.

Kiraly most recently was executive vice president and chief audit officer at Flushing Bank, a unit of Flushing Financial Corp.

In addition, the Empire Bancorp Inc. unit named Brian Handler senior vice president and residential loan officer. Handler was senior vice president of residential lending at Glen Cove, N.Y.-based First Central Savings Bank.
