HFC Bank (Ghana) rebrand effective

HFC Bank (Ghana) Ltd. changed its name to Republic Bank (Ghana) Ltd. to align with parent Republic Financial Holdings Ltd.

Its subsidiaries have rebranded to Republic Investments Ltd., Republic Boafo, Republic Brokerage and Republic Securities.

The bank has also put all necessary plans in place for a further rights issue to meet Ghanaian commercial banks' new required minimum capital of 400 million cedi.

As of April 27, US$1 was equivalent to 4.49 Ghanaian cedi.
