Volkswagen AG-owned Audi AG recorded global sales in May of approximately 160,600 premium vehicles, a rise of 0.7% year over year.
Global sales since the beginning of the year rose 6.4% to 785,300 automobiles. The automaker has sold approximately 287,500 Q models, with SUVs accounting for 36.6% of sales.
Asia-Pacific sales since the start of 2018 increased 25.7% to 289,400 cars, about 58,200 of which were delivered in the past month, the company said June 11. May sales in the U.S. rose 0.6% to 19,315 vehicles, while sales in Europe dropped 5.2% to 72,150 units amid imminent model changeovers.
Audi expects that one in every two of its vehicles will be an SUV by 2025.
